@prologic@twtxt.net Not sure yet. First I need to get jenny working and figure out how to update my file. Then I can decide what to do with this account. I guess I have some reading and tinkering ahead of me.

twtxt running over gopher and gemini too?! this is damn cool!

also: now changing my description to “lurking and learning” 😁

In-reply-to » @xavavu “I knit a scarf once” — that’s a feat! To someone who has zero knitting skills (me!) that’s certainly something. I would be boasting about it with anyone I meet. “Hey, nice meeting you! Just so you know, I knit a scarf once!” I would say, whilst putting my nose up a little.

@prologic@twtxt.net Never took a pic. Ended up giving it to someone who lived in a colder place. Turns out I didn’t have much use for it in Southern California.

@fastidious@arrakis.netbros.com ha! It really was a feat to behold. I don’t even remember how long it took me to consider it finished, but it feels like it was a long time. And, yes, it does come up in conversation every now and then. I’ll remember to put my nose up a little next time it does!

In-reply-to » @xavavu So tell us a bit about yourself 😁 I see you've mentioned you knitted a scarf once? 🤔

Well, to start… unlike most I see around here, I’m not a dev, coder, etc. I’m more of a curious user . My primary role currently is dad to an almost-age-3 kid.

The knit scarf was ages ago. One day I decided to buy some yarn and knitting needles. It was a basic stitch. I ended up, unintentionally, adding width along the way so one end was significantly wider than the other. It was still soft and warm though.

Hey, if anyone needs a name for a new yarn.social related project… scarf. Haha

In-reply-to » How does one pronounce twtxt? I assume it's derived from tweet and text but feel like it should sound more like "twitixt" I

Ah, cool. I like Yarn. Better branding than twtxt.
I’ll probably end up referring to “twtxt/yarn” (or something) when mentioning this realm elsewhere.
